Analogue and ISDN withdrawal
There is now only 16 months left until BT stop selling Analogue lines, ISDN2 and ISDN30. There is 43 months until BT withdraw all the existing Analogue lines, ISDN2 and ISDN30.
Every Business and every home that has Analogue or ISDN lines is affected by this. And it’s not just the phone service you need to consider. Everything else that currently uses those type of lines like alarms, EPOS machines, door entry systems, CCTV, and faxes will all need to be migrated
The PSTN network providing the Analogue lines, ISDN2 and ISDN30 has been the backbone of the UK’s phone network for decades. As an essentially 20th century technology, the PSTN network is increasingly out of step with the demands of modern communications.
It is worth thinking about what you need to do now because there could be a lot to do. You need to review everything you’re connecting to your phone lines, like door entry systems and alarms.
